together an outfit. However, they may not be as comfortable
coordinating clothing pieces that use unusual colors and patterns.

to focus on the color wheel.

Identify the Colors on the Color Wheel
If you are trying to put together an outfit using a piece that has
unusual color combinations then you first need to identify what the
colors are and where they are located on the color wheel. The color
wheel is a valuable tool that matches colors for you. To use a color
wheel simply look for the color that you are interested in and then
look at the colors that are around it. These are the complimentary
colors. If you are looking for colors to avoid then you will want to
look across the wheel to find colors that will conflict or clash
with your selected color.

Select a Color to Focus On
If the item that you are trying to develop an outfit around has a
lot of colors you will want to select one or two colors to use as
guides for selecting pants, shoes, and accessories. For example if
you have a top that includes green, turquoise, red, and black, then
you can select a pair of green pants to complete the outfit, or you
can select a pair of black pants to complete the out fit. You can
also go with a solid neutral pant to tone down the outfit.

combination then you will want to focus on balancing the outfit with

color drawn from the skirt, and a neutral jack.

If you plan on going out after work then you can simply remove the

Caring for Your Special Items
When you have an item that has a unique color palette you need to
take steps to preserve these colors. If they fade or blend then your
clothing item can look dull and dingy. To set the color of your
clothing item when you first buy it wash it in a solution of vinegar
and water. This will set the color and prevent it from bleeding and
fading. You may also want to use special color protecting
detergents.
