Before you start applying your daytime makeup you will want to gather everything that you will need for the application process. Some of the items that you will need for applying your makeup are: cotton balls, makeup wipes, tissues, eye lash curler, and makeup brushes. In addition to these tools you will also want to select the makeup products that you will be using including your foundation, powder, eye shadow, mascara, blush, lip liner, and lipstick.
Step #1 Prepare Your Face
After you have all of your supplies lined up, your next step will be to wash, tone, and condition your face. When you wash your face use a cleanser that is designed for the sensitive skin on your face, and that also is designed for the type of skin you have. You will also want to make sure that you use cool water. Next pat your face dry and apply your skin toner. Pat your face dry again and then apply a facial moisturizer that contains and SPF.
Step #2 Conceal Imperfections
Next you will want to use the right concealer to hid blemishes and dark circles. For blemishes you will want to use a red-neutralizing concealer, and to conceal dark circles then you will want to use a yellow concealer.
Step #3 Foundation
Your next step will be to even out your skin tone with a foundation. To apply your foundation dab a few spots of the foundation to your T-zone. Then smooth it over your face and down your neck with a makeup sponge. Make sure to blend well to prevent the development of a makeup line.
Step #4 Take Care of Your Eyes
To create a natural day look you will want to use a neutral eye liner, and neutral eye shadows. Start by lining your eyes. If you are trying to create a larger looking eye then you will want to line the upper eye lid completely and then lining only half of the bottom lid, leaving the inner half of the lower lid unlined. Next apply your eye shadow to your eye and blend it well to spread the color. Then use a light shade of eye shadow that compliments your main eye shadow color to highlight your eye brow ridge. Finally apply a good coat of mascara.
Step #5 Dont Forget Your Eyebrows
Your eye brows are what frame your face so you dont want to leave them out of the loop. Start by brushing them upward and trimming wild brow hair. If you have thin or pale eyebrows you will want to fill in your brows with a brown eye shadow and an angled makeup brush.
Step #6 Make it Cheeky
The sixth step is to apply your blush. Use a large makeup brush and a bright colored blush. Swipe the brush through the blush color and tapped of the extra blush. Then sweep the color across the apples of your cheeks and into your hairline. By using a large brush you will be able to create a glowing appearance to your cheeks.
Step #7 Lips
Finally you will want to line and color your lips. If you want your lipstick to last longer you will want to line your lips and fill in their color with the lip liner. Then you will want to apply your lipstick over the liner. This will make your lipstick last longer then if you only used lipstick.
