Eye Makeup Tricks
Eyes are the focal point of a woman’s face. Because of this women
need to take the time to create beautiful eye makeup. Unfortunately,
the skin around the eyes is thin and it is prone to several
conditions that make applying eye makeup difficult to do, especially
as we age. Fortunately there are some tricks that you can follow to
improve your results.
Eye Makeup Trick #1 – Moisturize
One of the most common problems that women have with eye makeup is
that it can accentuate fine lines and crapiness around the eyes. One
of the best ways to fix these problems is to apply a moisturizer to
the eye lids in the morning, in the evening, and/or before you apply
a new coat eye makeup. What has worked for me is using a night time
firming cream around my eyes. Put a little bit on your ring finger
and then gently smooth it over your upper and lower lids, as well as
applying it to the skin around your eyes. This will help to
revitalize your eyes, as well as tighten and lift the skin around
your eyes.
Eye Makeup Trick #2 – Create Beautiful Eyelashes
If you have skimpy eye lashes, or if you have blonde eye lashes,
then your most challenging eye makeup problem is probably creating
thicker looking eye lashes. To plump up your eye lashes try these
steps. First of all use an eye shadow to line your eyes. Push the
shadow into your lash line to create the illusion of a thicker lash
line. Next curl your eye lashes. Finally apply a healthy coat of
mascara.
Eye Makeup Trick #3 – Create an Open Eye
If you want to make your eyes look bigger and more open then you
will want to use this trick. First of all you will want to line your
top lash line with an eye liner. Then you will want to only line
half of your lower lash line. Start at the outside edge of your
lower lash line and sweep the line to the center of your lash line.
Eye Makeup Trick #4 – Highlight
When you are creating a fresh natural look, or when you are trying
for a smoky eye, you will want to use a light tone to highlight the
area of your eye right below your eye brow. If you are trying for a
natural look then you will want to use a soft eye color shade like
pink, peach, or beige depending on your skin tone. If you are trying
for a smoky look then you will want to use a light shade eye shadow
that compliments the darker tones that you are using.
Eye Makeup Trick #5 – Close Set Eyes
If you have close set eyes then you can use your eye makeup to make
them look farther apart. To do this you will want to shade the
inside corners of your eyes with lighter tones of eye shadows and
then use a darker shade on the outside section of your eyes.
