Daily Skin Care Regimen
If you want to keep your skin looking young and beautiful then you
need to develop a daily skin care regiment that will provide your
skin with what it needs to be healthy. There are four basic steps
for proper skin care: cleansing, moisturizing, toning, and
exfoliating.
Daily Skin Care Regimen Step #1 – Cleanse Your Skin
The first step in your daily skin care regimen should be cleansing
your skin. You need to clean your skin several times throughout the
day to reduce dirt and oil from building up on your skin and
blocking your pours. Because you have to clean your skin so often
you need to select a cleanser that is right for your skin type. For
example if you have oily skin then you can use bar soap to cleanse
your skin with, however, if you have normal or dry skin then you
will want to avoid bar soap as it will dry out your skin.
After you have a cleanser that is right for your skin you will want
to cleanse your skin with warm or cool water at least two times a
day. The first time will be in the morning when you first wake up.
The second time will be before you go to bed. If you notice that
your skin is building up oil and dirt then you may also want to spot
clean your skin at other points in the day as needed.
Daily Skin Care Regimen Step #2 – Tone Your Skin
The second step is your daily skin care regimen is to tone your
skin. There are several toners on the market that you can choose
from. Select one that is designed for your skin types. The toner
will help to balance your skin’s pH and keep it healthier and more
youthful looking.
Daily Skin Care Regiment Step #3 – Moisturize and Protect from the
Sun
The third step in your skin care routine should be moisturizing. It
is important to moisturize your skin every day. This will help keep
your skin looking smooth and vibrant. You will want to select a
moisturizer that is designed for your skin type and that also
contains an SPF. This will help you to prevent sun damage. Finally,
at night you will want to use a night cream around your eyes and on
other parts of your face, next, and hands to reduce dark circles,
reduce fine lines, and to tighten and tone your skin.
Daily Skin Care Regimen Step #4 - Exfoliate
The final step in your skin care routine should be to exfoliate. You
don’t have to exfoliate every day. However, it is a good idea to do
this about once a week. Exfoliation can be accomplished through
several beauty treatments including the use of a fruit acid
derivative, a retinol, a scrub, a microdermabrasion treatment, or a
chemical peel.
