Face Washing How To and How Often
Washing your face is one of the most basic beauty rituals to
develop. However, it is also one of the most important.
Unfortunately, washing your face with the wrong cleansers or using
the wrong techniques can actually damage the skin on your face and
make you age prematurely. If you want to keep your face looking
young and beautiful longer then you need to learn how to wash your
face properly.
How Often You Should Wash Your Face
The frequency that you wash your face is going to depend on a lot of
things. The first thing that you need to take into consideration is
what type of skin you have. If you have normal or dry skin then you
won’t have to wash your face as often as you would if you have oily
skin. Your activity level also impacts how often you will need to
wash your face. Finally you will need to take into consideration
your environment. If you live in an area that is dusty, smoggy, or
polluted, then you will want to wash your face more frequently then
people who live in areas that don’t have to deal with these
problems.
No matter what your situation is you should wash your face a minimum
of two times a day, once in the mourning and once in the evening. If
you exercise then you will want to wash your face after your
exercise to remove the sweat and extra oil that your body produces
when it heats up. If you live in an environment that has a lot of
air pollution then you will want to wash your face in the middle of
the day as well as in the morning and the evening. This will help to
keep the pollutants from clogging your pours and dulling the
appearance of your skin.
What You Need to Wash Your Face
Washing your face is a very simply process. To do it you will need
cool to warm water, a cleanser, a cloth, and a towel. Make sure that
when you are selecting a cleanser that it is designed for the type
of skin you have.
How to Wash Your Face
When you are ready to wash your face you will want to tie your hair
back so that it won’t get in the way, and you will want to make sure
that your forehead is completely exposed. Next you will want to run
the tap water. It should be cool to warm and not hot. Splash some of
the water onto your face. This will help to activate your cleanser
when it is applied. Next apply a little bit of facial cleanser to
your hand and lather it. Then apply it to your face, making sure
that you cleanse each part of your face including the areas at your
hairline. Rub gently. You don’t want to pull or tug your skin. Next
rinse the cleanser off of your skin by either splashing water on
your face using your hands or by using a damp soft cloth. Finally
you will want to pat your skin dry with a soft towel. Again be
gentle. You don’t want to tug, pull, or scrape the skin on your face
with the towel’s fibers as this will cause red spots and skin
abrasions.
